Mark W. Dixon

My career in the holistic health field began in 1976, and I have been in full-time practice as a Holistic Health Practitioner since 1988. The frenzied pace as a corporate executive was taking its toll on my body and mind, and I sought better ways to care for myself and relate to others.

Since graduation in 1988 from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics, one of the country's top schools, I have taken advanced continuing education by traveling the United States and China.

After 13 years in a busy pain management clinic, I entered individual private practice in 2000.

• I have been an Orange County resident for over 30 years, am married and have three children.

• For many years, I have been involved in the service organization Kiwanis International, and was the Kiwanis Club of Fountain Valley President from 2000-2001.

• My personal interests include downhill and cross-country skiing, SCUBA diving, and classic motorcycles.

Education

Training in the Massage & Bodywork field is measured in class hours, and not semesters or years. The average massage practitioner in California has fewer than 350 hours of total training.

My documented training consists of 1000 hours (elementary) and 896 (continuing education) of massage instruction. I have studied throughout the United States and China.
